Vorber Microsoft integration.

This page explains how Vorber uses Microsoft 365 permissions for CRM email, calendar, appointment and customer communication workflows.

Purpose of the Microsoft integration

Vorber connects to Microsoft 365 so sales teams can use CRM communication and scheduling workflows without constantly switching between Vorber and Outlook.
The integration supports customer email timelines, user-initiated CRM email sending, Outlook calendar sync, appointment management, Teams meeting link creation and manual import of email evidence such as order confirmations where those features are enabled.
Vorber remains a CRM. It is not designed to become Outlook, a bulk email platform or an unattended AI email agent.

Microsoft permissions Vorber may request

Sign-in and profile access so Vorber can identify the connected Microsoft user and show connection status.
Mail.Send so a signed-in user can send CRM emails through Microsoft, such as quote or customer messages.
Mail.Read so Vorber can read relevant user mailbox messages for customer timelines, incoming allocation and attachment review/import.
Calendars.ReadWrite so Vorber can create, read, update and cancel relevant Outlook calendar appointments for the connected user.
OAuth/OIDC scopes such as openid, profile, email and offline_access may be used to support sign-in, identity and continued authorised access.

How Vorber uses email access

Vorber uses email access to identify messages related to CRM customers by known contact email address, known customer domain or configured allocation rules.
Messages that cannot be matched may be treated as unallocated so users can review and allocate them manually.
Attachments can be opened for review and manually saved as CRM or pipeline evidence when a user confirms that the attachment is relevant.
Vorber does not delete, move, archive or modify mailbox messages for the core email timeline.

How Vorber uses calendar and meeting access

Vorber uses calendar access so appointments made in Vorber can appear in Outlook and relevant Outlook appointments can appear in Vorber.
Where a user chooses to create an online meeting, Vorber may ask Microsoft to add an online meeting link such as a Teams meeting link to the appointment.
Managers or administrators may manage Vorber appointments where their Vorber role allows it. Outlook updates depend on the connected user's Microsoft permissions and the event ownership model.

Controls and consent

Workspace administrators can decide whether Microsoft connection, email sending, email timeline, attachment import, calendar sync and meeting-link features are enabled for the workspace.
Users connect their own Microsoft accounts and Microsoft may ask the user or their Microsoft administrator to approve the requested permissions.
Users and administrators can disconnect Microsoft access through Vorber or Microsoft controls.

What Vorber does not request for the core integration

Vorber does not request Microsoft mailbox write/delete permission for the core email timeline.
Vorber does not request tenant-wide unattended mailbox access for the core CRM integration.
Vorber does not request Outlook contact import, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams chat, Teams transcript, Microsoft Tasks or directory-wide permissions for the core CRM integration.
Shared mailbox sending and shared mailbox reading are not part of the core public integration.

Security and data handling

Microsoft connection status, granted scopes and token state are stored separately from ordinary profile display settings.
Vorber protects connected-service credentials using encryption, restricted access and audit controls.
Microsoft data is used only for the enabled CRM feature and retained only as needed for CRM history, evidence, audit, support, legal/accounting reasons or service operation.
